Weekly Email – 12/2/19

Hello!

I hope you and your student enjoyed the break. We are in the home stretch – this is a hard, sometimes crazy time of year. I appreciate your kids coming back today ready to work. Thank you for supporting your student over the next three weeks. We are trying to finish the semester strong and stay on top of class work.  All grades are due December 20, 2019 by 4pm so any late/missing work during December needs to be completed and turned in ASAP.

 

Weekly Work:

Reading –

– Daily Language practice 14 – due Friday

– word work (due on various days, sorts are indicated on Infinite Campus)

– Nonfiction – “Turkeys” work – due Thursday (quiz on Thursday)

– Nonfiction – “La Lena Buena” – start work on Friday

Social Studies –

– Ancient India – studies weekly 13 – notes

– Thursday- notes due/quiz

– Ancient China – studies weekly 14 – begin reading/notes on Friday

 

Next week important to-knows:

**** La Lena Buena/SW 14 work due/quizzes on Tuesday 12/10

**** MAP Reading test during class time on Wednesday 12/11

**** Nonfiction unit 3 benchmark 2 test on Thursday 12/12

 

I am available for study hall/make-up work in the Student Union on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (8:05-8:30) and also Thursday mornings in my classroom (8:05-8:30). Send your student to me instead of the gym if there’s missing work to be completed or if help is needed on classwork 🙂  If your student would like to come in another day/time, please let me know and I would be happy to make myself available.

—- Winter Break 12/21/19 – 1/5/20

—- January ILPs (and 1/2 days) will be 1/8, 1/9, and 1/10
